The Alphorn made of spruce wood is the most played Alphorn worldwide.

In Europe, America, and Asia, the tuning f is primarily played, while in Switzerland, the Alphorn is most frequently used in the tuning fis/ges.

Particularly popular with our Swiss customers is the complete package with the 2 tunings f + fis/ges, including a bag and mouthpiece in the size of choice made of maple wood.

Characteristics and Features:

• 4-piece Alphorn made of spruce wood in tuning f + fis/ges, multiple natural lacquered, without winding, model “Standard Classic”
• consisting of 2 hand pipes, middle pipe, and bell pipe, bell foot made of maple (hardwood)
• plug connections made of aluminum – gold anodized with sealing rings, therefore highly abrasion-resistant, very high precision fit even after years without air loss
• high-quality and stable bell ring with 215 mm made of solid cherry wood
• consistent and uniform wall thickness of 7 mm
• tuned to 440 Hz (442 Hz possible)
• very secure intonation and harmonious
• extremely easy response due to the special bell structure and wall thickness
